• After a two-hour scenic drive, arrive at Relais Villa d’Amelia, your luxury spa hotel for the week, and meet your host, Chef Kevin Fonzo.
• In the afternoon, unwind with a complimentary spa treatment, then join your fellow guests for a welcome reception in the garden.
• In the evening, enjoy a three-course welcome dinner paired with Piedmont wines at the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant.
• Enjoy a slow morning — breakfast with a view is part of the plan.
• Late morning, join Chef Kevin for a private wine tasting and tour at Ceretto Winery, a renowned, family-run vineyard famed for its top Barolo wines.
• Lunch is at one of Chef Kevin’s favorite local spots.
• In the afternoon, explore Alba at your own pace: stroll the historic center, visit the cathedral, and follow the scent of chocolate and hazelnuts — this is Ferrero country, after all.
• Dinner is at leisure, with the option to dine at Piazza Duomo in Alba, the Ceretto family’s restaurant in town — a favorite for good reason.
• Start the day in Barbaresco, a hilltop town renowned for producing great Italian red wines. Enjoy private wine tastings at boutique wineries, including Piercarlo Culasso and Francone, before a relaxed lunch.
• In the afternoon, head to the historic town of Casale Monferrato. Explore the town’s Romanesque, Renaissance, and Gothic architectural treasures — the 15th-century Paleologi Castle, Saint Stefano Civic Tower, and Cathedral of Sant’Evasio.
• Dinner is at leisure.
Enjoy the entire day at leisure! Stay in and make the most of Relais Villa d’Amelia’s spa, gardens, or wine cellar. If you're up for exploring, Chef Kevin and your Art In Voyage travel concierge can recommend and arrange activities in the area, including a visit to Agricola Marrone, a family-run cellar in La Morra, followed by lunch (own account). In the evening, rejoin the group for dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants.
• Roll up your sleeves for a hands-on cooking class on a farm, where a local “Nonna” chef teaches you how to make fresh pasta and Piedmontese cuisine — all with a glass of Prosecco to keep things flowing.
• Sit down to enjoy the fruits of your labor over a relaxed lunch with the group.
• In the afternoon, visit G.D. Vajra, one of the Barolo region’s most respected wineries, for a private wine tasting.
• As evening sets in, Chef Kevin takes you into charming Barolo town — explore at your own pace, with dinner at leisure.
• Join a local truffle hunter and dog in the forest for a morning pursuit of Piedmont’s most prized delicacy.
• Sit down to a (truffle-rich) lunch at Tra Arte e Querce.
• Spend the afternoon in Acqui Terme, a Roman-era spa town — visit the remains of ancient aqueducts and La Bollente, where 75°C waters still bubble up from the ground.
• Return to the luxury villa hotel for a soak in the Turkish bath or massage in the gardens before dinner at leisure.
• Start the day with an optional hot air balloon ride at dawn (own account), soaring above vineyards and villages as the sun rises over the Langhe Hills.
• After landing, enjoy a private breakfast in the vineyards, toasting your final morning in Piedmont.
• The rest of the day is yours — relax at the villa, revisit a favorite winery, or browse the shops and chocolate ateliers in Alba with Chef Kevin's recommendations.
• In the evening, gather for a farewell dinner at Michelin-starred Marc Lanteri in Alba, where a three-course menu and great Italian wines bring the journey to a close.

Travel insurance, once purchased, goes into effect upon payment of the premium. You have 15 days from that date to cancel it (providing no claims have been filed or initiated during that period). Beyond 15 days, it becomes non-refundable/non-changeable/non-transferrable.
In case of a cancelation at more than 90 days prior to departure, your deposit will be returned minus a $500 per person administrative fee.
In case of a cancelation within the penalty period: Find a replacement at least 30 days prior to departure and your journey will be fully refunded, minus a $500 per person administrative fee.
